Children’s Mental Health Week is an annual event in which young people are encouraged to think and talk about their mental health. The theme this year was ‘Let’s Connect’, encouraging us all to talk to one another and to spend less time in isolation.
Girls at St Margaret’s have always enjoyed connecting with different year groups and looking out for each other, and this week was no different. 1 and 4 Junior buddies spent some time in class together looking at things that they have in common. They then drew everything that they could think of into a puzzle piece, showing how connected they are to each other.
Senior girls also held a Wellbeing Fair in their form room, in which girls from throughout the school were invited to take part in relaxing activities such as yoga and origami. There was also a number of QR codes that they all could scan to access mental health resources on their phones.
