On Thursday evening last week our medics and pupils from Harlaw and Portlethen Academies were invited to attend our mock MMI's or Multiple Mini Interview. This is a unique interview for those applying to medicine, dentistry and some veterinary courses whereby the applicants have to go round several stations in quick succession and each station tests them on a different skill set or scenario.
The young people were an asset to their schools and it was a pleasure to see them all perform so well in this highly challenging environment. The pupils then received individual feedback from each of the stations which was gratefully received by all.
We'd like to thank each of our assessors, Dr Foster, Miss Walker, Dr Crabb, Professor Cruickshank, Dr Garten, Ms Horner and Miss Murssith for giving up their time (in such miserable weather) to help these pupils follow their dream of becoming a doctor and we wish them all the best of luck for their future career.
If you would like to get involved in giving a careers talk, mock interview or a workshop please do complete our parent volunteer form. Ms Brown would be delighted to hear from you!
