PTA fundraising - supporting our school!

This year the PTA have met the cost of a range of new school equipment to support learning, wellbeing and fun for pupils:

  • Staging blocks (drama)
  • Piano for the school hall
  • Oscilloscopes (science)
  • Keyboards (music)
  • Bean bags (library)
  • Fire station (nursery)

Brand new netball dresses for the team, designed to include the PTA logo, are on order and will be in use in the next school year.

We now turn our attention to fundraising for the school’s next big project – the Outdoor Room.

The Outdoor Room

The Outdoor Room will be a brand new multipurpose bespoke building in the playground - hexagonal in shape with a felt tiled roof, flooring, seating and half-height walls. It will be built in the space currently occupied by the outdoor classroom which has sadly passed its sell by date.

The Outdoor Room will be robust and sturdy, built to last, and will be a valuable addition to the school’s secure playground area.

Supplied by Deeside Log Cabins the Outdoor Room will offer recreation and study space to all ages of pupils, a new teaching space for staff, a meeting venue – perhaps even a festive grotto!

Upcoming fundraising events – Sports Day and Summer Fair

The PTA have already committed £10,000 towards the new building with a further target of £5,000. Funds raised by the PTA at upcoming events will go towards the costs of the Outdoor Room.

Sports Day Barbeque – Friday 2nd June

The PTA will be running a barbeque on Sports Day on Friday 2nd June offering burgers, veggie burgers, strawberries and cream and other summer treats. Visit us by the Pavilion on the day.

Payment can be made by cash or card.

Summer Fair – Saturday 17th June

On Saturday 17 June 2023, the PTA will be holding a Summer Fair at school from 10.00am-12.30pm. There will be a range of fun stalls including:

  • Book tombola
  • Bottle stand
  • Chocolate strawberries
  • Face Painting
  • Glitter tattoos
  • Hook a duck
  • Lucky Dip
  • Inflatable fun run
  • Refreshments
  • Stationery tombola

Running alongside the fair will be the popular Second-hand Uniform and Book Sale.

Fingers crossed for sunshine!
