A Day in Our Senior School: Learning & Enrichment

Welcome to a day in our senior school, where each moment offers a unique blend of academic rigour and extracurricular excitement for girls aged 12 to 18.

Registration and Assembly:

Girls have access to their form room from 8:00am as some pupils like to socialise in their form classrooms before the formal start at 8:40am. Assemblies at 8:45am provide a platform for recognizing achievements and fostering a sense of community across different year groups.

Structure of the School Day:

Lessons commence promptly at 9:00am, with a 40-minute duration, and are often doubled up for more immersive learning experiences. Morning break at 11:00am and lunch break at 12:40pm offer time for relaxation or clubs.

“Choose between school lunches or packed meals, with senior students having the privilege to explore town with parental consent. Lunchtime isn't just about food; it's a social occasion where friendships are forged and strengthened.”

In the Classroom:

From a rich array of subjects including English, maths, sciences, humanities, and languages, our curriculum is designed to foster intellectual curiosity and academic excellence at every stage of senior school.

Outwith the Classroom:

Beyond academics, our extracurricular landscape is bustling with activities like sports clubs, music ensembles, debating, and creative writing. We encourage every girl to explore her passions and talents, promoting holistic development.

The End of the School Day:

After classes, girls can engage in after-school clubs or join our supervised Homework Club until 5:30 p.m, ensuring a supportive environment for both academic and personal growth.
