Through partnership with Aberdeen City Council, the nursery at St Margaret's offers fully funded places up to 1140 hours for all eligible girls and boys aged 3 - 5 years. In our nursery, strong foundations are laid in literacy, numeracy, and health and wellbeing. Pupils benefit from specialist teaching in music, PE and dance, and enjoy learning through planned and spontaneous play, to encourage imagination, creativity and exploration. The care and support given by our dedicated nursery staff ensures that every child thrives.
Our light and spacious nursery classrooms are well-resourced, and outdoor learning takes place in our green, safe and secure playground. Here, children have endless opportunities to engage in active and imaginative free play, and our 'Wee Green Spaces' initiative encourages further exploration of outdoor spaces, due to the wealth of opportunities we are fortunate enough to have on our doorstep. This offers numerous learning opportunities before pupils even leave the classroom: how to pack their bags, choose and pack snack, put on waterproof clothing - all the time while helping and encouraging each other.
We extend a warm invitation to families who would like to visit our nursery and school, to show you what we can offer your child first-hand. Please get in touch with our friendly admissions team who will be happy to help - admissions@st-margaret.uk or 01224 584466
