SUCCESS IN THE MINI MODEL UNITED NATIONS CONFERENCE

On the final day of the Spring term, the school hosted a dynamic and engaging mini Model United Nations (MUN) session on campus, welcoming delegates from five visiting schools and nearly 80 students in total. The event was marked by spirited debate, thoughtful diplomacy, and a strong sense of collaboration—hallmarks of the MUN experience.

Among the many highlights of the day was the recognition of Emily Parkinson (IV Senior A), who was awarded Best Human Rights Delegate for her eloquent contributions, insightful analysis, and deep understanding of the issues at hand.

Ralucca Ghimpu, Teacher of Modern Studies at St Margaret’s School for Girls, said, “students demonstrated remarkable poise and preparation, tackling complex global topics and representing their assigned nations with clarity, empathy, and conviction. Guest schools praised the professionalism of the event and the welcoming, inclusive atmosphere fostered by the hosts”.

The conference served as an inspiring close to the term and a powerful reminder of the impact student voices can have when given the opportunity to lead with purpose and engage in meaningful dialogue.
